Accepted into Uros? Find out how to join the server, download the required resource pack, create your character and follow Spawn Island into the world.
Before you connect
This guide is for players whose application has been accepted. Still preparing to apply? Start with Start Here: A New Player’s Guide to Uros.
Minecraft whitelisting is currently manual. Staff must add you to the server whitelist after acceptance. If you have been accepted but cannot join because you are not whitelisted, use the Uros Discord ticket system to notify staff.
- Edition: Minecraft Java Edition.
- Version: 1.21.11.
- Server address:
play.urosrp.co.uk. - Mods: none required; standard Minecraft is supported.
Connect and accept the resource pack
Launch Minecraft Java Edition 1.21.11, open Multiplayer, and add play.urosrp.co.uk as a server. Join once staff have added you to the whitelist.
When prompted, accept the download of Uros’s small resource pack. This pack is required and contains the server’s custom icons. Allow the download to finish.
If you have trouble joining or downloading the pack, use the Uros Discord ticket system and explain what happened, including any error message.
Create your character
On your first login, the character creation window should open automatically. Complete the on-screen steps for your accepted character. You cannot move until character creation is complete.
If the window does not open, try /profile. If that does not work, open a ticket in the Uros Discord to notify staff.
Follow Spawn Island into the world
Once you have completed character creation, you will find yourself on Spawn Island. Take time to read the helpful information in the holograms as you make your way through the island.
When you are ready, head to the end of the island and use the spawn for your character’s race to enter the world.
Begin your first roleplay
Start with a small reason to approach another character: ask for directions, introduce yourself or ask about work. Leave room for other players to respond and keep player knowledge separate from what your character knows.
You can learn the wider systems as you need them:
- A Roleplay Introduction — guidance for shared storytelling.
- Player Commands: Start Here — practical command guidance.
- Professions — explore trades and their guides.
- Regions and Settlements — finding a place in the world.
- Player Shop Guide and Lock Guide — trading and securing belongings.
You do not need to learn everything on your first day. If you get stuck, use the Uros Discord ticket system to ask staff for help.
