So you want to sell your wares? A Shop or Stall is the best thing for you! Here’s a guide on how to set up and manage your shop. The guide also includes how to buy and sell items from players' shops.
Getting A Shop
You’ll notice that shops in towns and settlements are vacant and rentable. To rent a shop, you’ll need to seek out the Steward or Owner of the region to engage in RP to get a stall/shop of your own!
In the picture below, this shop (the one Oak Stair) is rentable for 0 Auren paid upfront, but 10 Auren per week. This rent is collected every week IRL from the time you rent it. Once you have the steward rent the shop out to you, you can set up your shop.

Shop buttons and what they do
Now you have a shop; right-click the shop; you’ll see a shop GUI pop up like the image below. Here you can:
See Transaction History (Top Left):
Gives you stats of what transactions have been made on your shop.
Status of your shop (Top Middle):
Opens and closes your shop.
Shop Settings (Top Right):
- Change shop display name; this will display on the shop GUI when a player opens it to buy or sell you items.
- Manage Members & Managers on the shop.
- Storage Type: Click to toggle your shop block to be a normal storage (for blocks and items) or a Frozen storage (For selling food).
Shop slots (The 4 Plus signs in the middle of the GUI):
Add items here to sell; this will show the details of the item you’re selling.
Account (Bottom Left):
Toggle which bank account or treasury the money will be going into and out of.
Rent & Tenancy (Bottom Middle Left)
View rent status, make manual payments, and view payment history.
Stock Storage (Chest Bottom Middle):
Click to open the storage container of your shop; this is where you will store items to sell.
To the right of that, there is a repair intake storage; this is where items with durability will be if you set up an exchange slot, for example, on the shop to exchange players' broken tools for new ones that you’ve made.
Close/Delete Shop (Bottom Right):
Done with your shop and want to move on? Click this to completely delete your shop.
To add stock to your shop, right-click the stair/slab to open the shop GUI, and left-click on an item you wish to sell, then drag it on one of the 4 crosses in the middle of the GUI. You’ll then confirm if you want to buy/sell or exchange.
Adding stock to your shop
To add stock to your shop, right-click the stair/slab to open the shop GUI, and left-click on an item you wish to sell, then drag it on one of the 4 crosses in the middle of the GUI. You’ll then confirm if you want to buy/sell or exchange.

Then it will ask you in chat the price you wish to buy/sell from others; if you don’t want to buy or sell, type -1 in chat. If you wish to exchange items that have durability, you can then set the price you wish for them to pay to exchange. Once you have done this, right-click the shop block again to open the GUI; you’ll see the item has been successfully added to the shop. You can add up to 4 items on 1 shop block.

Editing an item listed:
First, you’ll have to close your shop, then left-click the item you wish to edit; here you can edit prices. It will then ask you in chat to re-enter the prices for the item. Once done, you can reopen the shop to start selling.
Creating Rental Shops
As a Steward or Region Owner, you’ll be able to make rentable shops (Stairs or Slabs) that people can rent from you.
To start off, once you have a Shop or Stall made, look at the stair or slab you wish to rent out and use the command /shop create rentable. This will prompt you in chat to enter the shop name, so if it's a shop called “John's Wares”, you could use the name JohnsWares1.
It will then ask you to make a Display Name; this will show for the players on the GUI. So, for example, “John's Wares” could be a good one to go with the shop name. The player who rents out the shop can change this afterwards.
You then need to add the rent price; for this example, we’ll say 10 Auren.
Then you’ll have to set how often the rent is collected; it could be either Days, Weeks, Fortnight or Monthly. This is set in IRL days, so we’ll say every week.
Once done, it will ask you in chat how much the Upfront Cost is; you can set it to whatever you want, but for this example we’ll say 0 as rent per week is fine. A Hologram will pop up above the shop letting everyone know how much it would cost to rent.
