Learn how to switch between talking, whispering and shouting, send messages, choose professions and ask for help. Simple commands with examples you can follow.

Start with these three commands

These are the commands to help you settle in. Type a command into Minecraft chat and press Enter.

  1. Choose your character: When you first load into Uros, you will be met with the character creation screen
Once you have your Character created, to view details or settings of your character, use: /profile

Open the character menu to create another character or change details.

  2. Start roleplaying: /rp

This puts you into roleplay chat. After that, type your messages normally.

  3. Choose your trades: /professions

Open the professions menu to choose your Primary and Secondary professions.

Talking in game

Choose how you want to talk, then type normally. You only need to enter another chat command when you want to change how you are speaking.

Normal roleplay chat
/rp

Shout
/s

Changes your text to shouting so people farther away can hear you.

Talk as yourself to nearby players
/looc or prefix your text with ( - Example: (Can you see these lock settings?

Switches to local out-of-character chat. Use it for things such as asking to pause a scene. Type /rp when you are ready to return to roleplay.

Talk to players across the server
/ooc or prefix your text with (( - Example: ((Welcome to Uros!
