Uros Roleplay (“we”, “our”, “us”) is committed to protecting the privacy of our community. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your data when you play on the Uros Roleplay Minecraft server or interact with our website and forums at urosrp.co.uk.

1. Data We Collect
We may collect the following information about you:
- Minecraft account username
- Email address (forum registration)
- Internet Protocol (IP) address
- Chat logs, forum posts, and moderation logs
- Technical request data such as browser type, requested pages, timestamps, security events, and network-delivery information
- Account metadata such as login history and session cookies
We do not store payment card information. Donations are processed securely by PayPal.
2. How We Use Your Data
We process personal and gameplay data for the following purposes:
- Creating and maintaining player and forum accounts
- Security, anti-fraud, and anti-cheat protection
- Moderation and enforcement of server rules
- Communication via our forum (alerts, system messages)
- Diagnosing faults and improving website performance and stability
3. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)
We rely on the following legal bases:
- Contractual necessity – enabling account access and gameplay
- Legitimate interests – community safety, moderation, fraud prevention, service security, and fault diagnosis
- Consent – where a separate optional feature specifically asks for consent
- Legal compliance – responding to lawful data requests
4. Cookies and Tracking
Our website and forums use essential cookies and similar storage needed for account login, security, session continuity, and saved preferences. These may include MyBB cookies and, where enabled by our network provider, security cookies.
We do not currently use Google Analytics. The Discord community widget loads on the homepage and contacts Discord when that page is opened. Discord may receive technical information such as your IP address, browser details and request time, and may use its own cookies or storage under its privacy terms.
5. Data Sharing & Third Parties
We may share certain data with trusted service providers, including:
- Mojang/Microsoft — Minecraft account services and authentication
- PayPal — donation processing; payment-card details are handled by PayPal rather than Uros Roleplay
- Discord — staff notifications and the embedded community widget shown on the homepage
- Cloudflare and our web-hosting provider — hosting, delivery, abuse prevention, and network security where enabled
- Google Fonts, CDNJS, jsDelivr, and unpkg — delivery of selected fonts or front-end files; requests may disclose technical connection data
- mcsrvstat.us and mcstatus.io — Minecraft server-status checking performed through our cached website endpoint
- YouTube — video embeds in forum content; loading an embed may disclose technical connection data to YouTube
We do not sell personal data.
6. Data Retention
We keep personal data only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected, to protect the community, to resolve disputes, or to meet legal obligations. Retention is reviewed rather than applied as a blanket permanent period.
- Forum account, posts, and private-message data — retained while the account and community record remain active, subject to valid deletion or restriction requests and the rights of other participants
- Security, access, and fault logs — retained for a limited operational period unless an entry is needed to investigate abuse or a security incident
- Moderation and ban records — may be retained for longer where necessary to enforce restrictions, protect users, or document decisions
- Applications, bug reports, and staff records — retained while they remain operationally relevant, then deleted or minimised
- Backups — retained on a rotating schedule and removed as replacement backups are created
7. Children’s Privacy
Uros Roleplay is strictly 16+.
We do not knowingly store data of anyone under 16. If we become aware of a user below this age, their access will be removed and their data deleted.
8. Player Rights
Under GDPR, players in the UK/EU have certain rights:
