Key points

  • Community operatedEndorsed Discords remain run by their own community leadership rather than becoming Uros-owned servers.
  • Uros standards still applyEndorsement means minimum safety, moderation and cooperation standards must be maintained.
  • Clear staff identityAn identifiable Uros Moderation role must distinguish official Uros staff from local Discord staff.

01

Purpose & endorsement

Recognised nations, guilds, settlements, organisations and other approved in-game groups may operate their own Discord servers and apply to have them endorsed by Uros Roleplay.

Endorsement means Uros recognises the Discord as an approved community space associated with an in-game group. It does not make the Discord owned or operated by Uros, and community leadership must not describe it as the official Uros Discord.

02

Minimum endorsement requirements

  • An identifiable primary community contact and a backup contact.
  • Published local rules that do not conflict with Uros core behavioural standards.
  • A clearly identifiable Uros Moderation role or another Administration-approved name that unmistakably represents Uros staff.
  • Appropriate access for authorised Uros staff to deal with Uros-related moderation matters.
  • Reasonable local moderation capability and willingness to cooperate with serious Uros moderation enquiries.
  • Clear separation between in-character authority and out-of-character Discord administration.
03

Uros Moderation role

Every endorsed Discord must maintain a visible role normally named Uros Moderation, or another name approved by Administration that makes the Uros staff connection equally clear.

  • The role must be distinguishable from local moderation roles and assigned only to authorised Uros staff.
  • It must provide enough access for Uros staff to respond to serious Uros-related matters.
  • Local administrators must not impersonate the role or create misleadingly similar roles.
  • Private leadership areas do not automatically need to be visible to Uros staff where they are genuinely unrelated to Uros moderation, but privacy labels must not be used to conceal serious misconduct from a legitimate review.
04

Local rules & moderation

Local leadership remains responsible for routine day-to-day moderation such as spam, channel organisation, role requests and normal local etiquette. Uros Moderation is not intended to run the community Discord on the group's behalf.

A community may adopt stricter local rules where appropriate, but local rules cannot be used to permit conduct that would breach core Uros standards.

05

When Uros may become involved

Conduct in an endorsed Discord may be considered under Uros moderation where it is sufficiently connected to the Uros community. Uros will not step into unrelated private disputes simply because the people involved also play on Uros.

  • Harassment, threats or discriminatory conduct involving Uros community members.
  • Attempts to evade Uros sanctions or coordinate serious rule-breaking.
  • Misconduct arising directly from Uros characters, factions, server disputes or community activity.
  • Serious complaints about community leadership or abuse of local moderation powers.
  • Matters that may reasonably require action on the main Uros services.
06

Evidence & cooperation

Relevant messages, screenshots, logs, message links or other material from an endorsed Discord may be submitted as evidence in a Uros case. Evidence should be handled under the normal Uros privacy and case-management standards.

Where a serious incident is under review, community leadership is expected to help preserve relevant material, identify the accounts involved and provide context. Deliberately concealing or destroying relevant material during an active serious review may cause the endorsement itself to be reviewed.

07

Leadership & ownership changes

Uros should be able to identify the people responsible for an endorsed Discord. Significant changes of ownership or leadership must be reported so endorsement and staff access can be checked again.

Endorsement belongs to the recognised community relationship, not automatically to whichever individual currently owns the Discord account or server.

08

IC and OOC authority

An important in-character role does not create unrestricted out-of-character authority. A king, guildmaster or other character leader may also administer the Discord, but moderation tools must not be used as an in-character punishment or as retaliation for legitimate roleplay disagreement.

Where Discord access is central to participation in an officially recognised group, serious exclusions may be reviewed by Uros Administration if they materially affect a player's ability to participate and there is a credible allegation of abuse or unfairness.

09

Complaints & Uros staff conduct

Routine complaints about local staff should usually be raised with that community's leadership first. Complaints involving the owner, senior leadership, retaliation, serious misconduct or Uros staff may be raised directly with Uros Administration or Moderation.

Uros staff using the Uros Moderation role remain bound by Uros staff standards. They should make it clear when they are acting officially and should not use the role to gain influence in the nation, guild or organisation.

10

Branding, bots & integrations

An endorsed Discord may describe itself as Endorsed by Uros Roleplay or an Uros Roleplay Endorsed Community. It must not imply that it is owned or operated by Uros unless that is actually true.

  • Bots must not impersonate Uros staff or falsely claim to represent official Uros systems.
  • Community leadership is responsible for bots and integrations installed in its Discord.
  • Any direct integration with official Uros APIs, accounts or staff systems requires Administration approval.
11

Endorsement review & withdrawal

Administration may review endorsement where standards are repeatedly not maintained, Uros staff access is removed, serious misconduct is tolerated, leadership refuses reasonable cooperation, ownership changes materially, or the Discord ceases to represent the group for which endorsement was granted.

  • Where appropriate, Uros should attempt to resolve problems with community leadership before withdrawing endorsement.
  • If endorsement is withdrawn, Uros endorsement claims and requested Uros branding must be removed and official Uros links may be withdrawn.
  • Withdrawal does not require the Discord itself to be deleted; it simply becomes an independent community space rather than one formally endorsed by Uros.
12

Guiding standard

An endorsed community Discord should remain community-operated, but trustworthy enough for Uros to direct players towards it. Players should reasonably be able to expect responsible local management, continued relevance of core Uros standards, a clear route to Uros staff for serious matters and appropriate intervention where genuinely necessary.
