About this policy
Uros Roleplay is operated from the United Kingdom. This policy explains how personal and account-related information is processed when you use the Uros Minecraft server, website, forums, Discord-linked features and staff systems.
Privacy enquiries can be sent to admin@urosrp.co.uk. Uros does not sell personal data.
Information we may process
- Forum account details such as username, email address, user ID, login history and session information.
- Minecraft usernames, UUIDs, character/account links and relevant gameplay or server-log information.
- Discord user IDs and account links where Discord integration is used.
- IP addresses, timestamps, requested pages, browser/device information and security or fault logs.
- Forum posts, messages submitted to staff, applications, reports and other content you choose to provide.
- Moderation history, case references, allegations/issues, staff notes, player statements, evidence, findings, sanctions, reviews and appeal records where a moderation or administrative matter requires them.
- Files or links deliberately submitted as evidence or references, subject to access controls appropriate to the record.
Why we use information
- To create, authenticate and maintain accounts and linked services.
- To operate the server, website, forums, applications and community features.
- To investigate reports, enforce rules, manage sanctions and support appeals or reviews.
- To preserve the integrity of moderation decisions and protect players, staff and Uros services.
- To detect abuse, fraud, ban evasion, compromised accounts and security incidents.
- To diagnose faults, improve reliability and maintain technical audit records.
- To meet legal obligations and respond to lawful requests where applicable.
Legal bases
Depending on the processing involved, Uros may rely on contractual necessity, legitimate interests, consent where specifically requested, or legal obligations. Legitimate interests can include community safety, moderation, fraud prevention, service security and resolving disputes.
Moderation cases & evidence
Moderation and administrative cases may contain information about several people. Access is limited according to staff role and the case classification. Restricted staff-conduct or sensitive cases may be visible only to specifically authorised staff.
Previous case involvement does not itself prove a new allegation. Moderation history may be used for legitimate context and, where policy permits, sanction proportionality after a finding. Evidence should not be copied or circulated outside legitimate staff or review purposes.
Cookies, integrations & service providers
The website uses essential cookies and similar storage needed for login, security, sessions and preferences. Some pages or features may communicate with third-party services needed to operate Uros.
- Microsoft/Mojang for Minecraft identity and authentication services.
- Discord for community integrations, staff notifications or linked identity features.
- PayPal or another displayed payment provider for donations; Uros does not store payment-card details.
- Hosting, delivery and security providers such as the current web host and Cloudflare where enabled.
- Selected content-delivery providers, embedded media providers and Minecraft status services used by the website.
Retention
Uros keeps information only for as long as it remains reasonably necessary for the purpose it was collected for, community safety, dispute resolution, technical operation or legal obligations. Retention is not intended to be blanket permanent storage.
- Account and forum content may remain while the account/community record remains active, subject to valid rights requests and the rights of other participants.
- Security and fault logs are normally retained for a limited operational period unless needed for an investigation or incident.
- Moderation, sanction and case records may be retained for longer where necessary to enforce restrictions, identify repeated substantiated conduct, support appeals or document significant decisions.
- Applications, staff records and project records should be deleted, minimised or archived when they are no longer operationally necessary.
- Backups are retained on a rotating basis and are replaced as new backups are created.
Your rights
Where UK data-protection law applies, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or withdrawal of consent where consent is the legal basis. Those rights are subject to the applicable legal conditions and may interact with legitimate security, moderation or third-party rights.
- Requests can be sent to admin@urosrp.co.uk.
- Uros may need to verify your identity before releasing or changing account information.
- You may raise a concern with the UK Information Commissioner's Office if you believe your data-protection rights have not been respected.
Age & children's privacy
Uros is a 16+ community. If Uros becomes aware that a person below the minimum age is using the service, access may be removed and associated information handled in accordance with the circumstances and applicable obligations.
Security & changes
Uros uses reasonable technical and organisational controls appropriate to a community server, including role-based access and restricted case visibility. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Material changes to this policy should be recorded in the version history.
