Key points

  • Uros is 16+The community is intended for people aged 16 or over, but that does not make adult sexual content acceptable.
  • Some boundaries are absoluteERP, sexual violence roleplay, doxxing and credible threats are not matters to negotiate between players.
  • Report serious concerns privatelySensitive reports should go to Moderation or Administration rather than being argued out in public channels.

01

Purpose

Uros can contain conflict, crime, injury, political hostility and other darker themes. Those themes do not remove the need for clear OOC boundaries. This policy sets the minimum safety standard for content that can cause real harm or serious discomfort outside the roleplay itself.

The Uros Rules remain the main enforcement document. This policy explains the boundaries in more detail and how serious concerns should be raised.

02

Age requirement

Uros is a 16+ community. Players who are known to be under 16 cannot continue to use the service. Staff should not ask players to provide unnecessary identity documents simply to prove age; concerns are handled through Administration using the minimum information needed.

03

Sexual content

Erotic roleplay and explicit sexual content are not permitted through Uros services or endorsed community spaces. Sexual violence, coercive sexual scenarios and roleplay built around sexual abuse are also prohibited.

Romance can exist as part of character roleplay, but keep it non-explicit and appropriate for a 16+ community. Moving prohibited content to private messages does not make it acceptable where the conduct is connected to Uros or involves members of the Uros community.

04

Graphic and distressing themes

Violence, death, imprisonment and other difficult themes may occur in roleplay, but there is no need to make every scene graphic. If a scene is moving into unusually detailed or distressing territory, check that the people involved are comfortable continuing and be willing to reduce the detail or move on.

A player asking to reduce graphic detail is not automatically asking to escape the in-character consequence. The consequence can remain while the presentation changes.

05

Harassment, threats & personal information

Harassment, credible threats and disclosure of private personal information are treated as serious OOC matters. Do not publish another person's address, workplace, private contact details, identifying documents or other sensitive information without a clear legitimate reason and their permission.

If information is relevant evidence, submit it privately to staff rather than reposting it across community channels.

06

Boundaries during roleplay

Players should be able to state an OOC content boundary without being mocked or pressured. Where possible, adjust how a scene is presented while preserving fair roleplay consequences. Staff can help where players cannot agree on a safe way to continue.

Content boundaries cannot be used as a blanket veto over ordinary conflict after the fact, but they do take priority where the requested content would breach Uros rules or this policy.

07

Reporting a concern

Use the normal moderation route for rule breaches and contact Administration directly for especially sensitive concerns, including complaints about staff or community leadership. Give staff enough information to understand the issue, but do not circulate sensitive evidence more widely than necessary.

If someone is in immediate real-world danger, contact the appropriate emergency service or platform safety service. Uros staff can act on the Uros community and preserve relevant information, but they are not an emergency service.

08

Privacy during a safety case

Sensitive cases may be restricted to a small number of authorised staff. Uros will not promise absolute confidentiality where information needs to be shared to investigate fairly, protect another person or comply with law, but access should be limited to people who need it for the case.

09

Retaliation

Retaliating against someone because they made a genuine safety or moderation report is not acceptable. That includes targeted harassment, threats, organised exclusion or use of community leadership powers to punish the report itself.
