Welcome, cave dwellers! Here is your one-stop guide to help you on your journey to becoming a proficient Miner. Upon picking Mining as one of your professions, you will receive a set of basic tools with minimal durability to help get you started:
Where to gather resources?
Around Uros, you will find dedicated Mines and Pits; whether these are Guild mines in settlements or out in the wild, they all work the same. We have a dynamic vein system that allows ore to spread naturally over time if not touched for a while.

How to perform actions?
To successfully mine ore, you will need to have a Pickaxe in hand and hold down the mine action on the ore nodes (Time will be dependent on level). You will see the bar fill up until you have successfully mined the node, at which point the ore node will animate and turn into a depleted rock (Come back later for it to replenish).

What to do with the resources?
Now you have resources in hand. The choice is yours about what you want to do with them - resources in Uros are consumed not only by you but also by other professions. As a Miner, you also have access to a Furnace/Blast Furnace to help with the refinement of your ore, in which you will gain XP.
Where do I get my tools?
Once your basic Pickaxe has depleted, you will rely on the professions of a Carpenter and Smith (If not taken as your secondary; other players will hopefully have picked these) to craft the needed tools. For them to make these tools, they would require Ingots that have been refined around Uros, thus creating a need for all professions.
Workstation and how to use it
The main workstation of a Miner is the Furnace/Blast Furnace; this will refine the ores you collect.
To refine the ores, right-click on the Furnace/Blast Furnace to open the GUI
Place your ores in the provided slots and click the green tick labelled "Begin Processing"
A chat message will tell you to add fuel to your Furnace/Blast Furnace. Hold the fuel in your main hand (Coal or Charcoal) and right-click the Furnace/Blast Furnace. Once done, your ores will start to refine!
If you wish to remove your fuel from the Furnace/Blast Furnace, shift-right-click and the fuel will return to your inventory.
If you wish to stop your ores refining at any point, right-click the Furnace/Blast Furnace, then click the big red X labelled "Cancel Processing".
To check how long is left on your ore refining and fuel reserves, right-click the Furnace/Blast Furnace to open the GUI and hover over the campfire icon.

Profession Tools
Pickaxes also have Item Ranks that affect the durability of said item.
Shovels also have the same Item Ranks that affect the durability of said item.
What Grants Experience and Levels
To level up your Mining, you will gain XP from mining nodes and refining ores, with each level reducing durability loss on your pickaxe. You will also gain a perk every time you reach a milestone tier (Novice -> Initiate).
