? Itz not WAR its WARGH ?
In the harsh plains of Magra, the Turuk shaped their lives from the land with their own hands. Their villages rose from timber, sandstone, mudbrick, and sun-dried terracotta, each structure marked with clan colours, carved totems, and ritual fire pits that burned through the night. Strength, tradition, and unity are the pillars of Turuk life. But even the Turuk could not ignore The Fading. Hunts grew scarce, the soil lost its colour, and sacred ritual grounds became quiet.
At first, many Clanz believed they could fight the sickness as they had fought every hardship before. But as the land continued to wither, it became clear: even Magra’s proud spirit was faltering. When word arrived of a distant land untouched by decay, the Turuk reacted not with fear, but with fire. A new frontier, ripe for challenge. New ground for Rukish clanz to claim. With roaring chants and sharpened resolve, the first groups gathered their belongings, extinguished their hearth fires, and set sail across the sea. Upon reaching Alphos, the Turuk saw possibility, dense forests, strong earth, and land ready to be shaped by will and sweat. They established their first foothold, Kazug, building it from the timber and clay of the island itself. Fires were lit, totems were raised, and the Clanz marked their presence with pride.
For the Turuk, Umbria was not merely a refuge — it was the next great proving ground.
~ Lore Summary ~
The Turuk originate from the Old Land of Magra, a rugged homeland defined by clan honour, tribal craftsmanship, and unforgiving terrain. Their structures were traditionally built from wood, sandstone, mud, and sometimes terracotta, adorned with symbols unique to each Clan. When The Fading reached Magra, the land’s decline challenged even the Turuk belief in enduring every hardship. The Turuk embraced the voyage to Umbria. The idea of new land to claim and shape aligned with their desire for clan expansion and the forging of new legacies. Hearing of Alphos’s fertile lands and untouched wilderness, many clanz volunteered eagerly for the expedition. Upon arriving at Alphos, the Turuk founded Kazug, their first settlement in Umbria. Built quickly and proudly using local materials, Kazug serves as both a foothold and a symbol, that Turuk strength will rise wherever the clanz choose to plant their feet.
