Before any of the current inhabitants of Uros could remember, the knowledge of civilizations long gone guided their path. The major concept all of these societies seemed to agree on... the Outer Rims of reality.

It is said that outside of their lands exist innumerable worlds, possibly infinite ones. Yet, paradoxically, there's a space outside of the universe's infinity. A conceptual vacuum that's home to creatures so powerful that they cannot be contained by reality's laws. Scholars have named this theoretical space "the Outer Rims of reality," somewhere far enough to evade worldly constraints but close enough to affect Uros.

Creatures that exist in the Outer Rims are called major gods, while the ones that have descended to our reality are called minor gods. They both take the form of celestial bodies, living in a state of constant movement, frictionless and uninhibited for the major gods, but harmful to the minor gods, who slowly shed their outer layers and become less powerful by colliding with real matter.

The energy these bodies emanate can be called mana, a colorless, odorless compound that breaks the laws of nature. It's rumored to be capable of doing anything, but only Elfin elders still have the capacity to wield it, to limited results, of course. Still, many legends remain in Uros' books. The legends of the great people who could channel celestial power are now only memories.
