The Halimaw can be found in the great depths of the oceans around Uros. Signs that it's close by are larger waves/currents, shipwrecks and a lot of floating debris from its victims! Reportedly, you feel the ship come to a stop before the Halimaw shows itself, and time starts to slow down to a blur.

How does it fit into the world of Uros:

The Halimaw is known to many, but of myth and legend. Those who have encountered it have rarely lived to tell the tales of horror; the few who have survived were labelled insane, mad liars! The aggressive, cephalopod-like creature, capable of destroying entire ships and dragging sailors to their doom, lurks in the deep oceans of Uros, preying on passing unfortunate Urosian ships. Some even sail out when they believe their lives no longer have meaning or they have lost too much to carry on in life, believing that if the Halimaw takes their life, they'll become its servants in the eternal afterlife!

Its four elephant-sized eyes help it track down any prey it deems fit for a good meal. Its eight long limbs, with its 10-foot-long round suckers, cling to its prey in an unstoppable surprise attack. Once this huge, hideous creature has you in its grips, it drags you down to your death, wishing you were back home snuggled up in your bed.
Its skin, with its scale-like carapace and thorn-like back, makes it easy for it to split ship hulls in half. Its first and most deadly attack on its unfortunate victim certainly makes a way out impossible.
