I bid all my dear kin a good day.
My name is Beatrix West, the current Steward of Ishlian and member of the Elfin Council. As of now 3 years ago I was entrusted this position by the elder Elyithor Mayliff. For all of this time I have tried my best to live up to the expectations of my postion. I have resolved diplomatic tension and I've established friendly relations with other inhabitants of this island. But to my ears have come rumors of complacency and I will not let that go unanswered nor will I deny the truth of it to you whom I serve. As of recently me and Elder have been drafting an expansion plan to your settlement and building some overdue neccessary ammenities.
Yet the question still remains about our numbers and uncentainty of population. We are not self reliant and most of our food is imported from Marrena. I've been employing some elfin that can cook and farm. Soon I shall make nominations for an Elfin that shall join the Council to the Elder. There are changes on the horizon. I hope that you will support my rule and if you see any problems or issues please direct them to me.
Sincerly, Steward Beatrix West

Elyithor reads the article from his chambers, his head tilts with a small smile, he mumbles to himself "Glad to see change around here" He continues on his drawings

Viole reads the article from his home, he sighs with relief as progress is finally being made. He then ponders what the future will hold for his time with the previous speaker was no more, and now serving a new leader. His mind then fills with the endless possibilities, ones of horror and despair to peace and happiness. Yet he chose to dwell on the brighter possibilities. He also hopes that he will be part of the council someday. Having a fade wrought elfin as council member is progress he thought to himself. Perhaps just fantasy, for now he lays in bed and gazes to the ceiling.
