Please note this is not a complete list! Your character can think of their own, and we would love you as players to come up with ic phraseology that is lore based to help everyone feel more immersed! These are just some to help get you started and maybe help your brain be in the Uros mindset.
  • As a threat to someone instead of saying ‘I’ll kill ya.’ or ‘I’m gonna kill ya.’, you say ‘I’ll open a window for you.’, or just get up and open a window. It is subtle and ominous and ties into opening a window so the soul can leave the room it died in to be collected by Aldeah.
  • The expression ‘Not even chaos could stop me.’ as a way to reassure oneself or to brag about a task, or someone saying to a person ‘Chaos wouldn't bother to stop you.’ contextually to mean they're about to do something really dumb.
  • A very deep below the belt insult that no one would say unless they were looking to start a fight would be to look at someone and say ‘Paloma made a mistake.’.
  • An impactful, intimate, and absolutely deadly serious way to say ‘thank you’, not as a closing remark but in a conversation; you would say ‘The gods saved you from the fading for me.’. This is newer saying, only becoming common in the last few years but it has become a way to verbalize an extreme graciousness.
  • As a way to flirt, one might say ‘Ars himself told Mother how to make you.’.
  • A way to tell someone to lay off or bug off if they’re being too awkward in conversation would be saying ‘Stop being Creep.’
  • The Yakuma saying ‘Tell me what you boast about and I will tell you what you lack.’ is their way of saying the common ‘Get off your high horse.’.
  • As a way to caution a child to pay more attention to his studies, a parent might chide them ‘The Spider will turn an eye to you.’ as a way to remind them that the gods (aka the parent themself) are watching their efforts, or lack of.
  • A way to say that you’re starting to get sick would be ‘Noxxulina’s children are chasing me.’.
  • Two common Yakuma insults would be to call someone a donkey(himar) or a dog(kalb), as their language doesn’t have many more severe than that so it is noteworthy if one of these is heard.
  • An exclamation being sick of the rain when it is in a wet season would be ‘Less rain Tla'nuwa!’.
  • An Elfin way to tell a person that they’re hanging around with humans too much is to say ‘Your ears are shrinking’.’
  • A Turuk would insult another Turuk by asking ‘Failed Blood Day?’. This calls him weak and implies he is less of a man because it’s insinuating he never completed his coming of age ceremony.
  • To say ‘Trust the cat.’ is a saying common amongst all the races, to remind people of the feline intuition about people. Some attribute it to Koci, but it is not necessarily religious in meaning.
  • 'Idle hands are Chaos' playthings.' Stay busy!
