Back in Elyiore like most of her race she would spend most her time outside but was outside but when things seemed too boring she would go to her grandma. Luna loved talking to her grandma and she would come over almost everyday and tell her stories of the old days. Luna dreamed of going on an adventure and seeing the world. Her parents who had seen their home lost their home and were forced to migrate. They were very much comfortable in their home, happy with a father who worked hard and loved his family dearly and a mother who can paint the most beautiful sunset ever and make food that would leave you wanting more for all your life. and Luna was too but some days she would sneak out and stare up at the sky examining every part of the moons which she loved so dearly they felt one with her. It may seem weird to most she had heard it time and time again you've seen the moons once its all the same after all to meany all they were good for was telling time but the forest now that had spirit “remember your an Elfin Nature is in your blood body and soul” her mom would say and she knew it was true even she could feel it when everything seemed to loud and two slow she would take a walk feel the leaves smell the flowers hear the wind in the trees and while it had it merit when the night fell and she was basked in the moon that's when she truly felt free. She felt one with herself and herself with the moon when she was really young and the other kids would avoid her when she tried to explain herself. Not even her family understood, not even her grandma, it hurt her so she stopped explaining she could be satisfied with the forest she told herself but she was lying. How could you have a crescent without a moon, bread without yeast , a plant without soil. So what if no one understood that just meant she had more time to watch the clouds and feel the stars then soon she was. 20 and that summer she had begged her parents to take her outside Elyiore for her birthday and after consistent begging her parents finally gave in and took her outside and to explore. They set off the morning of Luna's birthday little did they know this would be a grave mistake. Halfway through their journey screams in the far distance could be heard Luna rushed to the clif of the hill with her parents chasing after Luna stared upon a kingdom minus its final moments falling to ruin its hadn't stood long only a 100 years maybe less but non the less she watched as the buildings were lit aflame and people were murdered left and right the mass amount of murder and genocide. She tried to run down and save them as she heard the screams of terror but her dad scooped her up and started walking away “ now kiddo its not safe to run into danger besides kingdoms like that fall all the time they never stay long come on lets head home”.Some thing changed in her that day she was deeply disturbed by how nonchalant her family was when she returned home she tried to tell others hoping she wasn't the only one who cared but no one cared they all said the same thing it was destined to happen she felt crazy even as some performed ceremonies for those lost not just this one time but anytime someone died all she could think about was how hypocritical it was. But the years went by and eventually she got over it but she stopped looking as far into the and started paying more attention to what was currently happening. She would grow older and eventually her home would decay she'd be forced to leave Elyiore and move to Ishlian


Luna, a name meaning the moon her mother bestowed upon her after being born under the full moon. She was born in Elyiore, her original home land.
And she truly did love it and even after the migration while everyone complained she loved it the new home which would come to be known as Ishlian. And the best part was that the moons were so clear to see and while she truly loved it after the loss of her home she didn't want to rebuild like nothing happened even as she had to say good buy to sapling which had grown so big that she watched being planted the last sign of her home with a tear in her eye as she hugged the sister tree goodby after all she would never get to see it again she stared after the moons for hours watching them as always and then when everyone was asleep she was gonna head off she grabbed her stuff and as she stepped out her tent she saw her grandma Luna didn't need to say she was leaving her grandma could already tell. With a sigh her grandma hugged her and said she knew this day would come and that she couldn't stop Luna Instead of crying her grandma gave her 2 things a pair of tinted glasses for when you need to see things in a different hue and the family heirloom a gold necklace originally they were gonna be gifts for her 31st birthday but that was months away so she decided to give them to luna now “may you find yourself in good health and good spirits at all times” she said as luna started to cry. Once Luna was done crying she waved goodbye and left without even leaving a note. In the cover of only the moon she set out on what would be a quest to learn the past and understand the present without losing sight of the future and best of all to find a home.
