Backstory
Born to one of the twelve Yakuma tribes. Xola has always been curious about the spiritual powers of this world, being raised by her shaman father, an avid practitioner of both medicine and worship to the gods. Unlike the other kids in her tribe who would go out to play wrestling or help with the animals, Xola loved to stay inside her hut with her dad, learning about what each herb could do and which gods were responsible for each thing. Sadly, her mother passed away when she was but a young teen. Xola and her father were devastated, but Yakuma are both big and resilient. If it wasn't for the support of their tribe, these two would not have been able to stand back up, and they certainly did.
Xola began to manage her mother's animals, the crops and even helped her father into making the medicinal mixtures of herbs for the tribe. The two had been through a lot together but were able to see the sun shine on their faces once more, processing their duel and grief together as father and daughter. And so it was like that for many years, until the fading struck. Her tribe was one of the first ones to be reached by The Fading, making Xola feel reluctant to leave, but her father was not. Her father was as old as he was stubborn, he insisted that he was not going to leave his own home and the place he knew, but unfortunately, this would be his end. Xola was devastated once she found out about her father's death, blaming it on herself and deciding to flee the home she had once known. She travelled to a nearby village and got onto a boat, sailing to Alphos in hopes of finding a new home.
